Saul Anuzis, former chairman of the Michigan GOP and a candidate this winter for national chair of the GOP, has launched Coast to Coast Strategies, a consulting firm based in Lansing, Michigan.
Aaron Saunders has been promoted to communications director for Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.). Saunders was formerly a press secretary in Landrieu's office, and before that communications director for former Sen. Ted Stevens.
Stephanie Allen, a former journalist and Landrieu's previous communications director, has moved offices to work in the same capacity for for Sen. Kay Hagan (D-N.C.).
The Republican National Committee has a host of new communications hires: LeRoy Coleman, former communications director for Sen. Norm Coleman (R-Minn.) has been named director of media affairs while Kirsten Kukowski and Sara Sendek have been named regional press secretaries. Kukowski is a former communications director for the Wisconsin Republican Party and press secretary for former Rep. Mark Green, and Sendek has done communications work for the White House and worked as a staff assistant to former Rep. Joe Knollenberg.
