COO at top Democratic polling firm steps down

Howard Briskin, the longtime chief operating officer at the Democratic polling firm Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research (GQRR), is stepping down at the end of this month.

In an email Tuesday, GQRR announced the move and thanked Briskin “for his many contributions to the firm. We wish him every success in his new endeavor.”

No word from the company on where Briskin is headed next and he didn’t immediately respond to an email request from C&E. Briskin has been with the firm since 2006.

In Briskin’s absence, GQRR has announced added responsibility for Ismael Savadogo, the firm’s chief financial officer. In addition to his role as CFO, Savadogo will serve as vice president for operations.

GQRR’s director of information technology, Mouhamad Alem, has been elevated to chief information officer. In that role, Alem will oversee GQRR’s information technology as well as its field and programming operations.

“[Savadogo]’s proven leadership will serve us well as we continue to grow and achieve new heights,” GQRR CEO Stan Greenberg in a statement.
