Cillizza has his ear to the ground in terms of new consulting firms. Here's a few to keep your eye on:
A trio of former Romney aides have launched a new consulting firm, Shawmut Group. All three worked on Romney's 2008 presidential camapaign: Beth Myers was campaign manager; Peter Flaherty was deputy campaign manager; and Eric Fehrnstrom was a traveling press aide. All will be partners at the Boston-based firm, and will be joined by Rob Cole, an adviser to form New York Gov. George Pataki.
A new Austin and D.C.-based media firm, the Potomac Strategy Group, has been launched by Matt Mackowiak, formerly an aide to Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison.
Scott Mulhauser, currently a senior adviser to Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ), is moving over to the Senate Fiance Committee to direct media efforts.
